Day 30 – Your favorite book of all time
So we’ve finally reached the end of this thing, eh? And now I’m supposed to choose a single favorite book of all time? Well screw you 30 Day Book Meme! I’ll choose however many I want. OK, fine I’ll just go with three: The Photograph by Penelope Lively, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, and The Bitch Posse by Martha O’Connor.

Day 29 – A book everyone hated but you liked
To say everyone hated it is probably a little strong but still I hear so many bad things about The Little Friend by Donna Tartt, but I thought it was really good. I didn’t love it nearly as much as The Secret History (and I suspect this is actually the problem many of the fans of the former had with it), but it’s still really good. Just don’t approach it like a mystery…because you won’t be satisfied with the end result. But if you approach it more like a Southern Gothic coming of age story, you’ll probably like it more.

Day 28 – Favorite title
Because it so obviously promotes cannibalism. Duh!
My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me edited by Kate Bernheimer
Also quite fond of Danielle Evans’ Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self
30 Day Book Meme: Days 26 and 27
Day 26 – A book that changed your opinion about something
I’ve been trying to figure out an answer to this question since yesterday but I seem to be coming up empty. Permission to skip the question until further notice.
Day 27 – The most surprising plot twist or ending
I would say Atonement but when the book was recommended to me, my co-worker told me he flung the book across the room when he got to the end (for the record, he thinks it’s brilliant but he was still pissed at first). He didn’t give away the ending but somehow I managed to guess anyway. Not sure I would have if I hadn’t been somewhat tipped off. I’ll just go ahead and say Invisible Monsters by Chuck Palahniuk since I was genuinely surprised by quite a few things in that book.

Day 25 – A character who you can relate to the most
So I accidentally answered this question on Day 16 – Favorite female character. I went with a favorite female character whom I could relate to the most, so now I’m stuck with nothing! *sigh* I’m just going to go with Franny Glass for this one, which is probably whom I should’ve gone with on Day 16. Try not to judge me, okay?
